Welcome to 10th and 11th Grade Language Arts!

This is my third year at Fairview and I am once again excited to be here.  I have been extremely impressed with the community here and am grateful to be a part of it.

I graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in English Literature and recently finished my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in the Humanities.  Though I enjoyed my studies, I am looking forward to a school year where my energy can really be focused in on Fairview.

I was born and raised in Colorado, so in my free time I like to be outside, enjoying this beautiful place I get to call home.  I enjoy hiking and camping and spent a great deal of my summer up in the mountains.  I also play soccer and enjoy reading (and am starting to really love writing) and spending time with my friends and family. 

I am looking forward to a positive, productive, energetic school year.  Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you might have.

Here is how to access EBSCO, an online database for academic journals and scholarly outside sources.  No more Wikepedia! No more google search! Check this out... it is SO HELPFUL!
 
1. Go the the FHS Website
2. Click on the "Academics" tab at the top of the page.
3. Click on "Library"
4. Click on the "Databases" tab
5. Click on EBSCO
6. Fill in the user ID and password as follows:
        User ID: knights
        Password: password
7.  You will be given a boatload of choices... use what makes sense to you. Academic Search Premier is really good.
