Enrolling in Lafayette Elementary School - Now Online!
Lafayette Elementary is presently taking registrations for kindergartners and new students. To enroll your child, please click here to use the BVSD Online Enrollment form. Once you have your documents and receipt please come to the school office during office hours to register your child. Parents are encouraged to register incoming kindergarteners by January prior to the start of school. Schools are closed from mid-June to early August. Students will not be able to register during this time.
Families must bring the following to register:
- Online Enrollment Documents and Receipt
- Proof of birth date (birth certificate): To be admitted to kindergarten in BVSD, a child must reach his or her fifth birthday on or before Sept. 30. For admission to first grade, the child must reach his or her sixth birthday on or before Sept. 30.
- Record of updated immunizations.
- Proof of residency: This may include utility bills, lease agreements or a house contract.
- Physicals: It is recommended that all students entering kindergarten, 4th, 7th, and 10th grade and all those new to the district, receive a physical examination. Most physicians have the examination report form in their offices. Please return the form on, or before, the first day of school.

Kindergarten
Lafayette Elementary offers half-day kindergarten programs. This year there are both morning and afternoon kindergarten sessions. The Boulder Valley School District offers a half-day optional, fee-based childcare program (K-Care) in addition to the half-day kindergarten program.
