BVSD Open Enrollment
The BVSD Board of Education supports a variety of high quality educational programs. Students may:
- attend their district designated neighborhood school (based on home address)
- open enroll to another neighborhood school
- open enroll in a focus school (meets BVSD standards but may have a different curriculum or philosophy)
- open enroll in a charter school (an independent school) within the district
Through open enrollment parents/guardians may choose to enroll in a school outside of their neighborhood as long as there is sufficient programming, staff and space at the school. Parents/guardians who reside outside BVSD may open enroll their children into this district.
The Open Enrollment application period for 2012-13 placements is from 8:00 am November 28, 2011 to 4:00 pm January 13, 2012. If you wish to enroll your child at a school other than your neighborhood school, you must submit an open enrollment application to the Open Enrollment office during the enrollment period. Submit your form directly to the Open Enrollment Office, Education Center, 6500 Arapahoe Avenue, Boulder, CO 80301. Forms may not be turned in at school. All Open Enrollment applications are due to the Education Center by 4:00 pm Friday, January 13th! You may obtain an application form from the BVSD website, at all BVSD schools, and at the Open Enrollment office.

Kindergarten Registration and Orientation:
Kindergarten Orientation will be on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from 3:00 - 4:30 PM.
