Benefits of Being a PTA Member
The simplest way to support your school’s PTA is through membership. PTA membership costs $7.00 and needs to be renewed annually. Membership doesn't commit you to volunteering; though volunteering is important to the community. Studies have shown:
- Students have higher grades and test scores, better attendance, and higher graduation rates when their parents are involved. The more extensive the involvement, the higher the achievement.
- Regardless of like economic status, background, or parents’ education levels; when parents are involved - STUDENTS ACHIEVE MORE!
- Students with involved parents exhibit more positive attitudes and behaviors, and negative behaviors decrease.
Your PTA membership helps level the playing field for all children and helps prevent children from engaging in risky behaviors.
In addition to the aforementioned benefits, your membership entitles you to receive valuable discounts and promotions. Please contact Shayna Whitehouse at sbwhitehouse@gmail.com for more information.
