It is the responsibility of the parents to call in your student’s absence by 9:00! The attendance line phone number is: 720-561-4002.
The new School Messenger system, for attendance calls, requires absences to be recorded by 9:15. If we have not received a phone call regarding your student’s absence or tardy by 9:00, you may receive an automated call and/or e-mail. Calling the absence in will help us maintain a safe environment for your student here at Monarch K-8 School. We believe that this policy would help in finding your student in a timely manner if they should not arrive at school for any reason.
If your student is absent due to an appointment for any or all of the day, please have them bring a note, from the appointment, to the office when they return.
Request for Prearranged Absence:
If elementary students are going to be out for an extended time please send a note or call the office and then get any homework from the classroom teacher.
Middle Level - A parent or guardian must send a note with student and then a pre arranged form can be picked up in the office. The student must understand that she/he is responsible for all assignments missed. Students should make arrangements with their teachers in advance regarding their make-up work. All make-up work is due one week from the date of return to school. As a way to help your child complete all work , we ask that the parent initial the students sheet as each assignment is completed. As each assignment is turned in, teachers will initial that they have received the assignment.
