Visual & Performing Arts

Monarch offers a wide array of classes and activities for students who are interested in experiencing the arts at all levels, including offerings in drama, instrumental, vocal and visual arts.

Performing Arts

Monarch students present five theatrical productions and more than a dozen musical concerts each year. Our drama students have qualified for the National Thespian Competition in one acts, duet singing, solo singing and duet acting categories and were the 2010 National Showcase Champions at the International Thespian Festival. This group is fun-loving an open to everyone, if you're not a performer, you can join the tech crew and artists to provide set designs, costumes, props, public relations, makeup, sound, and lighting.

Not to be outdone, the music department hits the high notes with a top-performing marching band, three jazz bands, two orchestras and four choral groups. And our drum line and choir have both won state competitions.
