New SAT Prep Classes
Prepare for the new SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) through Boulder Valley School District's Lifelong Learning Program.

Covering both verbal and math skills, this affordable class will help students maximize their scores on the new SAT. The verbal review will teach students how to answer sentence completion questions quickly and correctly as well as how to write convincing essays. Methods for improving reading speed and techniques for locating pertinent information in reading passages will be covered. This class will also provide vocabulary enhancement with words that have the highest tendency to show up on the Scholastic Aptitude Test. Math concepts and skills will also be reviewed. Instructors will discuss different mathematical reasoning processes. In addition, strategies for maximizing test scores will be developed through practice on actual SAT testing materials.  Students must spend time out of class doing assigned work to achieve the greatest benefit from this course. The course fee includes two books and a CD.  Scholarships are available.
