 A Resource for New Parents...

Welcome to MOHI Parent 360

MoHi Parent 360 is a mentor program for parents of transitioning 9th graders and those families new to our school.   These parents receive information from our volunteers throughout the summer to prepare them for a successful start to the school year.   MoHi Parent Mentors host an orientation evening at the beginning of the school year to introduce you to Monarch, meet coordinators of your child's MoHi 360 program, the Freshmen Seminar Coordinator and some of our administration.  This is an evening to ask questions, tour the school, receive helpful tips, and socialize.

If you have questions any time in the summer or throughout the school year contact your MoHi 360 Parent Coordinators:

New Parent Information For 2010-11 School Year

Dear Parents,

Welcome to Monarch High School (MHS) from the MoHi 360 Parent Leaders!  The MoHi 360 Program is designed to assist students and parents with the transition into high school.  MoHi 360 Parent Leaders are here to answer questions or direct you to the right source now and throughout the school year.   Even with our struggling economy the students, parents, teachers, and administration at Monarch are pleased to continue to offer these services to you and your teen.  Transition assistance from teachers and Mohi 360 Student Leaders will continue during the school year through Freshman Seminar every Monday.

Registration materials will be available on-line on July 1st on the top button on the left side of the MHS homepage.

MoHi 360 Parents will be hosting a Picnic in the Park on July 20th (raindate July 21st) at 6pm at Purple Park in Superior for any new families. We will all bring our own picnic dinners and chat about transitioning to Monarch High School and whatever else comes up. Purple Park is on the corner of Rock Creek Parkway and Pitkin.

Check-In/Registration for freshmen is on August 4th from 8-11:30am.

We encourage you to attend our New Parent and Student Orientation/Social on Thursday, August 12th from 7:00-8:30pm at MHS.  MoHi 360 Parent and Student Leaders, PTSO, and Freshman Seminar Coordinators will be there to greet you, answer questions, and take you on tours.  We look forward to meeting you.

Have a great summer!

Jody Wickers, Kate Spector, and Paula Nelson, MoHi 360 Parent Coordinators

Stay involved with your teen.  Even though kids may not act like it at times, parents are still the #1 influence in their lives - even in high school. Enjoy them!
