Volunteering at Nederland Elementary School
All volunteers are an important part of our school community and we are thankful to everyone that gives their time to our school community.
- New Volunteer Requirements
This year regular volunteers will be required to have a background screening which will help ensure the welfare and safety of our students. Regular volunteers will need a background check which will cost $16.00 per person. For more information on the Boulder Valley School District policy regarding background checks, visit the District's Volunteer Page. For information about the specific types of volunteers and which type of background check will be required, see the District's Volunteer Background Screening Criteria chart. If you have any questions about whether your offer to volunteer will require the $16 fee, please check the information in these links or contact Juanita Gloe in the NES Office by calling (720) 561-4804 or by email juanita.gloe@bvsd.org.
- Volunteer Registration Process and PTA Reimbursement for Background Check Fees
As a benefit of becoming a member of the Nederland Elementary PTA, the $16 cost of a background check will be reimbursed, if requested. (The PTA membership is $10.00 for an individual membership and $20.00 for a family.)
To complete the volunteer registration process, follow these steps:
- Go to www.tclogiq.com/bvsdv.
- Follow the instructions on the website (you will need a credit card -- Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discovery are accepted). DO NOT check the option for a driving/motor vehicle records check.
- After you have completed the Background Screening Process, print the confirmation page and send it to the school office.
- Print and complete the District's Volunteer Agreement Form and return it to the school office.
- (Optional) If you are a PTA Member and would like reimbursement for the $16 fee, complete this Expense Reimbursement Form and included it with the confirmation page. The PTA will send you a reimbursement check.
