SPIDERS are a part of the BVSD 360 Program that links each 6th grader with an 8th grade student (Spider). Spiders act as a guide, mentor and friend, helping their small group of 6th graders navigate through their first year of middle school. Spiders must fill out an application which is then evaluated by a panel of several parents, teachers and counselors. A variety of fun activities are scheduled throughout the year during the school day. In addition, Spiders may function as helpers with many school events such as Back to School Night, Parent/Teacher Conferences etc. Applications are taken in April.
