Math Olympiads
Math Olympiads is an international program to promote enthusiasm and a love for mathematics. This club usually begins in October and ends in March after the last competition. Regular meeting time is on Wednesdays during lunch.
Goals of Math Olympiads:
To teach strategies for problem solving
To practice important Mathematical concepts
To develop Mathematical flexibility in solving problems
To strengthen mathematical intuition
To foster Mathematical creativity and ingenuity
Highlights:
- Five monthly contests, given from November to March.
- Competisions with other mathematicians from around the world!
In 2011, teams receiver the highest achievement award which places them in the top 5% in the world.
