My love for Colorado has been ingrained in me since birth! I was born in Colorado Springs, where I spent my childhood hiking, camping, and going on long backpacking treks. I went to college at the University of Colorado where I studied Psychology and Education. I have always been passionate about working with kids, so my decision to become a teacher was natural. When I entered into the classroom to student teach, I realized that I was born to do this!
After college I moved to Newark, DE. There, I loved to travel to the amazing sights that are all within a short drive. I spent time exploring the monuments of Washington D.C., the history of Philadelphia, and the lights of New York City! It was a wonderful experience. I also spent my first years of teaching gaining experience in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade.
Soon, I realized I was ready to move back home to Colorado and this time I brought my new husband Steve with me. Since we moved back in June 2007, we have kept busy by exploring this beautiful state, settling in, and finally getting married on July 22. I was also fortunate to get a job here at Superior, where I have been endlessly impressed with the community of families and staff. I already feel right at home here and am anxious for what my future at this school holds.
