WOW is our new walking or wheeling program at our school.  We received a fantastic grant through Safe Route to School and the Colorado Department of Transportation to promote, incentivize and educate our community on the benefits of walking and wheeling to school.  We're including sun safety, safety patrol, crossing guard, bicycle safety, and a whole host of events over the next two years.  We're so excited to be starting WOW Superior.

Our big kickoff was October 6th as part of International Walk to School Day. We had kids coming on "Walking School Buses" through the neighborhoods, we did a "Ride and Stride Parade" where the school buses dropped the kids off at Purple Park and they were able to walk to school with balloons and banners, escorted by the Mayor and our Principal.  We had our firefighters as guest crossing guards and we had parent volunteers handing out healthy snacks donated by Clif Bar and the School Food Projects through Boulder Valley School District.
