This tree is commonly called The Witgatboom, The Sheperds Tree, or The Matoppie.
it is an Angiosperm and a eudicot. This tree can grow up to ten meters in hieght. Trees Occasionaly found in rocky inserts such as old limestone.

Thanks, Quin!!!  I camped under this tree all week in Bokspits.  They call it Shepard's Tree because it was the only one around tall enough to stand in the shade under, so all the herd boys would stand under there.
