 Anita Lehrer

I have been teaching for 23 years and the last 4 at Aspen Creek.  I rececied my bachelors degree plus graduate courses at University of Northern Colorardo.  I chose to become a teacher because I love the children, their kindness and it makes me happy to see them learn so much in a year. My favorite quote is, a long poem by Mother Teresa called Anyway. In summary it's about doing the right thing no matter what.

It has been a wonderful experience teaching at Aspen Creek since its inaugural year.  I've taught for over 25 years, having taught both third and second grades.  I received a Master of Arts degree in elementary education from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.  Teaching runs in my family.  I love children and how excited they are about learning new things for the first time.  There's nothing like the magic of those "A-HA" moments!  When I'm not teaching, I try to think of any excuse to be outdoors; gardening, riding my bike, hiking, and being on or in the water.  I also enjoy traveling with family and reading great books!

 Jaclyn Workman

My name is Jaclyn Workman and I am very excited to be a part of the second grade team at Aspen Creek. I am originally from California, where I received my Bachelor’s degree in International Studies from University California, Santa Barbara. I recently earned my Masters' Degree in Education from the University of Colorado, Denver. I have been teaching for over six years and last year I was the KCARE specialist here at Aspen Creek. I strive to accommodate diverse learning styles by designing and employing a variety of teaching strategies that emphasize the “whole student.” I live in Boulder with my husband and dog Coco. We love to hike, snowboard, sail, camp and travel.

 LuAnne Gourley

I have been teaching for more than 23 years. I enjoy teaching 2nd grade. I've been teaching at Aspen Creek for 7 years. I got my education and my degree at University of Northern Colorado in Greeley- Masters of Arts in elementary education. I chose to become a teacher because I've always liked kids! My mom was also a wonderful music teacher. I wanted to be as good at teaching- just not music. My favorite quote is, "I touch the future, I teach!" By Christina McAuliffe. I’ve also taught grades K-3. I have taught classes from about 16 kids to as big as 31. I have had children whose parents I went to high school with.
