The power of music and words unites the Bear Creek community in our annual Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration. Students celebrate each other’s differences and strive to carry on the prevailing message of equality and peace for all people.
This summer, the Board of Education approved the Educational Facilities Master Plan and a resolution placing a question on the November 2014 ballot asking voters to fund $576M in improvements for all schools.
From a kindergartner constructing a colorful paper sculpture to a fifth grade embossing a dragon in metal, the art room is a magical place where students use different mediums to express their individual creativity.
Bear Creek parents & staff encourage the Sciences at our Super Science Night. Students learn hands on by using telescopes to see stars and galaxies, how spacecraft are exploring Earth, learn about black holes and make their own space fuel.
Participation in Bear Creek's Spotlights is for those students who enjoy singing, dancing, drama, and instrument playing. We hope to provide students with a fun and exciting opportunity in which they can share their many talents!

Bear Creek will be participating in the International Walk to School Day on Wednesday, October 7th. Let's join kids around the globe to walk, bike, scooter and skip to school. Look in this Friday's Bear Tracks, our school newsletter, to find the nearest "Walking School Bus" starting point. We will also be participating in the Eco-Cycle Used Shoe Collection!
Wednesdays Oct. 7, 14, 21, 28th at 3 - 4:15 meeting in Kallio/Martin Kindergarten room for attendance & snack. We will be outside exploring nature through games and nature journaling. Please have your child bring a water bottle, snack, and dress for the weather. Sign up at email@example.com and I will confirm. Free, limit 15 students.

Share A Gift will once again be collecting gently used bikes for our Toy Shop. Bear Creek Elementary has been a generous supporter of this program for years. It is a great way to recycle used bicycles and help make another child’s Holiday special. Share A Gift volunteers will be at your school early (before school drop off) to help unload your bikes. Bikes are our most popular gift giveaway.
Bear Creek will be hosting a flu clinic on Wednesday, October 21st. The whole Bear Creek community is welcome! Please register by emailing Carolyn at firstname.lastname@example.org, stop by the office, or call the office at 720-561-3500. The deadline for registering is Friday, October 16th. The cost is $30/shot and $40/mist. A receipt will be provide to submit to your insureance carrier for reimbursement. Cash or Check Only. The services are provided by Visiting Nurses Association.

The YMCA of Boulder County provides before and afterschool care and summer camps using the facilities here at Bear Creek. More information can be found under "About Us" in the drop down menu.
