The power of music and words unites the Bear Creek community in our annual Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration. Students celebrate each other’s differences and strive to carry on the prevailing message of equality and peace for all people.
This summer, the Board of Education approved the Educational Facilities Master Plan and a resolution placing a question on the November 2014 ballot asking voters to fund $576M in improvements for all schools.
From a kindergartner constructing a colorful paper sculpture to a fifth grade embossing a dragon in metal, the art room is a magical place where students use different mediums to express their individual creativity.
Bear Creek parents & staff encourage the Sciences at our Super Science Night. Students learn hands on by using telescopes to see stars and galaxies, how spacecraft are exploring Earth, learn about black holes and make their own space fuel.
Participation in Bear Creek's Spotlights is for those students who enjoy singing, dancing, drama, and instrument playing. We hope to provide students with a fun and exciting opportunity in which they can share their many talents!

On Back to School Night, September 10, we will have a retired CBI employee here to process fingerprint cards. If you're interested in having fingerprints done that night instead of going to the police or sheriff's offices, the cost will be just $10 and he will be here from 5-8:30 p.m. You can leave the card and a check for $40 to BVSD in the office that night. This will allow you to be approved to volunteer in BVSD school until your children graduate from high school.

Admission is $8 per child and adults are free. Purchase your admission wrist bands before school on the day of the carnival or at the event. Some highlights of the evening: face painting, art projects, dunk tanks, football throw, obstacle course, duck pond, and more!
