2011 - 2012 Classroom Supplies
In response to parents’ frustration with running around to seven different stores to try to find school supplies in August, last year the school began buying the items your children need (pencils, markers, folders, scissors, rulers, etc.) and having them here for the first day of school. By buying in bulk we received discounts that saved us all money. We are able to reuse some of this year’s items for next year, which helps the environment as well as the costs. Even after changing some of the supplies to a higher quality based on teacher and student recommendations, we are able to lower the costs for next year. Classroom Supplies
$30 for Kindergarten and $35 for 1st thru 5th Grades
Children enjoy bringing at least one item to school that is personalized to their tastes or interests. Please have your children bring the following on the first day of school:
Kindergarten through third grade:
Two pocket folders to be used as a homework folder and a Friday folder.
4th grade:
Two pocket folders to be used as a homework folder and a heavy duty, canvas type 3 holed pencil bag
5th grade:
A heavy duty, canvas type 3 holed pencil bag. No binder (which was typically needed in the past) for next year.
Registration & Meet and Greet Days and Times
Kindergarten Registration & Teacher Meet and Greet August 11
2:00-2:45pm Kindergarten AM classes
3:00-3:45pm Kindergarten PM class
Registration for grades 1-5 & Teacher Meet and Greet August 12th
9:00-10:00 AM 1st -3rd Grades
10:30-11:30 AM 4th and 5th
Classroom supply money will be collected during registration days. As in the past, families have had the opportunity to add $5 to their total to help with supplies for Bear Creek families in need. Thanks ahead of time if you are able to help.
