 ¡Bienvenidos!

My name is Kelly Willis, and I teach Spanish 1 & 2 here at Boulder High School.  This site is in the process of being developed, so bear with me!  Class documents can be found on the left hand column - click on the link for Documents/Handouts.  Please contact me if you have any questions!
A little about me...
I have been teaching languages for 8 years, and am very excited to begin my first year at BHS!  I attended the University of Wyoming, and received a BA in Secondary Ed. and a BA in Spanish.  I am currently pursuing my Master’s Degree, and love to continue learning.  Teaching languages and cultures is so much fun, and as a teacher, I strive to build a love of them in my students. 
This last summer I took a group of students to Costa Rica - and it was incredible!  It was so much fun to see my students use their Spanish while exploring Costa Rica! I also recently had the opportunity to live and teach in South Korea, and am so grateful to have experienced the rich Asian culture.  While there, I traveled to Beijing, China and was able to visit the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and many other amazing sites.  I have also lived and/or traveled in Mexico, Guatemala, the Bahamas, and throughout most of the United States.  Each of those experiences has added to the classroom environment I try to create. 
Though I love seeing the world, I really enjoy living in Colorado.  In my spare time, I spend time outdoors – hiking, camping, skiing, biking, jogging and gardening.  I also enjoy relaxing - do some yoga and/or reading.
