 New Student Registration

 

New Student Enrollment:

Go to the Boulder Valley School District home page and click on Student Enrollment Online.  

Process for most students:

Before the counselor meeting you might want to look at the school website and look through the Course Description Book to familiarize your student with class offerings.

During the counselor meeting you will accomplish the following:

backpack
  • gain general information about the school
  • learn class options and class placement information
  • agree upon class selections for your student
  • ask questions you have about the school
  • discuss issues that will enable your student to be successful at CHS
  • please bring the following:
    • withdrawal grades and official withdrawal form from your student's former school
    • a copy of your student's transcript, or at the very least, a copy of his/her latest report card
    • the student's birth certificate
    • immunization records from physician's office
    • proof of residency, a utility bill with address, for example
    • any other information that you believe will be valuable as we begin to know and help your student in his/her transition to Centaurus High School

Special Needs

Process for students currently in special education with an active Individual Education Plan (IEP):

The Counseling Office will send your contact information to the Special Education Department, and a representative of that department will contact you about a meeting date to set goals and to select classes.

Process for students currently identified as Talented and Gifted:

The Counseling Office will coordinate information with the Centaurus High School Talented and Gifted Coordinator.

Parent Handbook

A Parent Handbook will be available from counselors at the time of enrollment (for 9th graders.)

A Student Folder, which includes information about clubs and general information about CHS, will be given to students when checking in for their counselor conference.
