Post Grad Center

SENIORS -  Don't forget to check the status of your application to ensure that the school received all the required documents. Start the FAFSA as soon as you can to ensure timely notice on your financial aid packages. Once you hear whether you have been accepted or not, let us know by changing your status in Naviance or stopping by the PGC. If you need a mid-year transcript sent let the registrar know by submitting a request using Naviance. 

SCHOLARSHIPS - The Post Grad Center is notified of many local, state and national scholarships. Many of the applications are available online or copies are kept in the file cabinet in the PGC. Scholarship deadlines run all year long, so be sure to check for possible scholarship opportunities even if you haven't decided where you are attending/applying!  Click here to view a copy of the Centaurus Scholarship Book.  Check the bulletin board outside of the PGC for scholarship information as well.

JUNIORS - Now is the time to start thinking about your post graduation plans! If you are thinking of going to college, be sure to attend the local in-state and out-of-state college fair nights as well as visitation days at any schools that interest you. If you can't visit, scan their websites and come to the rep visits here at CHS. Spring is also the time to take the SAT and SAT subject tests if the colleges you are interested in desire those.  Many schools want the SAT or ACT with writing.  Check here for the SAT registration and testing dates and here for the National ACT test dates.  Be sure to take notice of all application requirements and deadline dates as you start to identify your school choices.  Please come see me if you have any questions - I am here to help you!!

COLLEGES at CHS- College representatives are especially interested in talking to Juniors in the spring. It is also a good time to get any last minute application questions answered or find out about scholarships. Be sure to check Naviance and the Post Grad Center often for upcoming visits. If you'd like to attend one of the scheduled college rep visits, sign up on Naviance or stop in at the PGC to request a pass.

HOURS - The Post Grad Center is open during school hours - stop in to use the computers and browse through the books or college brochures. Jamie Suitts, the Post Grad Coordinator, is there Monday-Thursday or can be reached at jamie.suitts@bvsd.org or 720-561-7753 to assist you.
