Pupil Count

We are now in the Pupil Count window. It is VERY IMPORTANT that your student be in attendance this week. This is how each school receives their funding for the year.

PLEASE refrain from taking your student out of school this week. If your student MUST be absent, please provide the office with a written excuse that includes the following:  student's name, reason for absence, dates student will be absent, parent's name and contact information. You need to e:mail this information to sara.remington@bvsd.org by 8AM on the day of absence. As usual, if your student is ill, contact the Attendance Line at 720.561.4502 by 8AM.

Thank you!

Working toward organization and independence while cleaning our desks
Students were given a new "life- lesson"  in class today. I was thinking about students who will be going to middle school next year and aren't sure how to clean/organize their desks. (and future lockers...)

So today I created a mind map on Popplet.com to "teach" kids how to clean their desks in an systematic way. We created this as a class, then they were pretty independent in cleaning. Yay!

Feel free to use this tool at home for cleaning rooms... Good luck! :)
