Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent Teacher Conferences will be on February 8th, 9th and 10th.
  
Book Fair
We will have our annual Scholastic Book Fair on February 8th, 9th and 10th.  
 
Weather Assessment
Our weather unit will end on February 4th.   The test will be on reading a thermometer, characterists of air, placement and names of clouds, the water cycle, seasons and the night sky.
  
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
As a conclusion to our weather unit, we will watch CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS.   Make sure the permission slip is turned in!!  We will watch the movie on Friday, February 5th.
 
Alaksa
On February 8th, we will be starting our Alaska unit.   The students love this unit.  We will be following the Ididarod, making igloos, learning about the resources of Alaska, as well as studying Alaska animals.
  
President's Day
Please enjoy February 15th with your family.  There is no school on February 15th to celebrate President's Day.
 
Professional Development Day
No School on February 26th - the teachers will be in meetings as well as working on Report Cards.  Enjoy the day with your children.
  
Report cards
Report Cards will go home on March 5th.  The end of the trimester is February 26th.
 
Polar Bears
We will be sewing polar bears on March 5th.   I could use some parents to help in the classroom.
  
Ikidarod
This is our very own Iditarod at Coal Creek.   The students will conquer the playground tundra as mushers and dogs.
 
Spring Break
Spring Break is on March 22nd - March 30th.  If you are going to be absent on other days, please let me know.
  
Igloos
We will be making our Alaskan igloos on Thursday, February 25th.   Fun for all - I would love to have some parent help with this exciting and sweet project.
