Parent Journal

This comes home every Wednesday and we ask that you respond to your child on the back of the letter they write to you so that we can read it the next day in class. The kids really enjoy this activity to practice writing letters and reading what you write back the next day!

 Reading Book

Your child will be coming home with a reading book every night that they are to read to you at least one time. After they read it to you they need to have you sign their reading log. These books are a great opportunity for you to talk to your child about their reading and ask them comprehension questions to work on their retelling of the story with as much detail as possible. This is a skill they are working on in reading groups and the more reinforcment they get at home the better the reader they will be:)

 Library Book

We go to library on Wednesday so please help your child to remember their library book every Wednesday.

Friday Folder

Please check your child's Friday folder each week for completed work and important notes and information for you to look over. The folders should be returned every Monday.
