On Thursday, April 28, the two Douglass teams (of 5 kids) took the Gold & Silver in the District Math Olympiad Tounament, out of 19 teams. We are also very proud of Pavan and Ethan for placing 1st & 3rd in the individual competition.
Also congrats goes to Lisa Cooper, our TAG advisor,
who was honored this month by the Boulder Valley Gifted & Talented Board
of Directors with a BVGT Honor Roll advocacy award for her dedication to gifted
young people in our community.
We are proud to have Mrs. Cooper at
Douglass and very proud of her work with our children! She did an incredible job preparing the kids for the Math Olypiad competition as well.

This Wednesday, a 5th grade news team traveled to Rocky Mountain PBS in Denver to film a two minute newscast for Super School News. We wanted the entire Douglass Community to be aware of the team’s air dates. These are approximates, but should be pretty close to when you’ll spot our team on TV. Set your DVRs! In the coming weeks, we’ll include an online link for viewing our newscast in the case you miss it on TV.
There is no school on Friday, May 27. Enjoy your summer! We will see you back to school on Thursday, August 18.
