Meet Mrs. Barnett
Hello Everyone! Thank you for taking the time to find out more about me. I am originally from Ithaca, New York which is located in the heart of the Finger Lakes. I lived there for the first 27 years of my life. I attended Cortland State to get my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education, Pre-K-6th grade and Elmira College to get my Masters Degree in Reading, K-12. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 6th grade. I have also been an adjunct instructor at Cortland State teaching undergraduate and graduate reading courses and a reading skills course at Tompkins County Community College.
In 2003, I moved to Colorado to be with my incredible husband, Loren. We have two beautiful children, Weston, 3 years old and Mckenna, one year old. We live in north Thornton. As a family, we love to just hang out with each other and explore new things!
