ENROLL/WITHDRAWAL/CHANGE OF ADDRESS

Enrollment for 2011-12 School Year and 2012-13 School Year
Please complete the necessary steps below and bring your completed paperwork to the school office.
If Flatirons is not your 'home' school (see Attendance Map) you must go throughthe  process
before enrolling at Flatirons
The Open Enrollment application period for the 2012-2013 school year will be from
8:00 a.m. November 28, 2011, through 4:00 p.m. January 13, 2012. |

Step Two: Call the Preschool Office at 720.561.5075 to enroll for preschool. | |

KINDERGARTEN ENROLLMENT |

Step One: Complete the District On-Line Enrollment at 
Please contact the Student Enrollment Center if you have questions: 720-561-5247 or enrollment.helpdesk@bvsd.org.
Step Two: Then from the end of the enrollment process please print and include:
- The printed PDF receipt/confirmation page with the barcode
- Emergency Card
- Home Language Survey
- and any other pages that print from the end of the enrollment process
Step Three: Bring the above documents with the following documentation and forms to the Flatirons School Office at 1150 7th Street, Boulder, CO 80302,

- Copy of student’s birth certificate or passport
- Proof of residency (Current utility bill (Xcel, United Power, City Water), Current rental agreement, Home phone bill (Centrury Link, AT&T, etc.), Home cable bill (Comcast, Dish Network), Home Internet bill (Comcast, Century Link, etc), or Warranty deed (if home was recently purchased)
- Current copy of student’s immunizations (see

Flatirons Kindergarten Session Request Form (click to type in form, print and sign)
Kindergarten Parent Interview Form (click to type in form, print and sign)
Registration paperwork is due every August, or for new students who start after August. Please visit the August Registration Page and complete this paperwork and include with your Enrollment paperwork you bring to the school office.
For Kindergarten Enrichment (optional, see Kindergarten Enrichment:
Children entering Kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before September 30th of the school year. Kindergarten is a half-day program, mornings (8:15 a.m. to 11:05 a.m.) or afternoons (11:55 a.m. to 2:50 p.m.), five days a week.
Flatirons Elementary offers a fee-based program called Kindergarten Enrichment for the other half of the day. Students are registered in Kindergarten Enrichment ONLY upon receipt of all forms above.
Kindergarten Enrichment options are: M-F–5 days, M/W/F–3 days, and T/TH–2 days.
Kindergarten Orientation for parents of children, who will start kindergarten in August, 2012 is scheduled for Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the kindergarten room. You will have the opportunity to meet teachers, ask questions, and receive information on registration/enrollment. Information about Kindergarten Enrichment, a fee based enrichment program complimenting half-day kindergarten, and the YMCA before and after school care program will also be available. As this is an opportunity for adults to learn about our school, this is an adult only event. Please make other child care arrangements. Reservations are not required.
