Welcome to the Garden Club

~Let's Grow!
Spring is here!
Time to grow!
THANK YOU to PTO and Clorox/Greenworks!
The Garden Program has recieved funds from the Greenworks grant to build a hoophouse!
A hoophouse is a greenhouse structure, made with heavy plastic instead of glass. We will start contruction in early April, in the vegetable garden area. Hooray! We can grow salad greens all winter in the hoophouse!
The Heatherwood School Garden Program teaches children ( and parents ) about organic gardening. We focus on vegetables, but also explore the greater plant world as well. The children have done everything from planting seeds to harvesting pumpkins and making them into muffins! This season, we will plant, build, and grow some more!
The afterschool Garden Program meets on Mondays, afterschool from 2:30- 4:00.
The 1st Spring meeting is on April 4. We will start the season with a seed swap and garden tour. We meet every Monday through May 23. Join us!
Please register for the season, by contacting Michele Bailey. phone: 720.771.1219
