Academic Focus
Louisville Elementary School (LES) provides a balance of traditional teaching styles carefully blended with new and proven techniques that work. Both academic programs focus on the 6 + 1 Traits Writing assessments and the First Steps Reading Developmental Continuum that show where each student is and support individual academic areas.
Each day 1.5 hours of uninterrupted time is devoted to instruction in reading, writing and spelling. We are proud of this commitment to student achievement in critical academic areas.
Volunteers
Parent and guardian volunteers are welcomed into our classrooms and make a valuable contribution to education at LES. From the Parent-Teacher group to working with small math groups in the classroom, parents find a fit at LES.
