Louisville Middle School was built as Louisville High School in 1939 with a WPA (Works Projects Administration) grant of $43,000.
Louisville High School became part of the Boulder Valley Schools in 1962.
Louisville Middle School was established in 1972 after Centaurus High School opened in Lafayette and served both communities.
Monarch High School opened in 1998 and now serves the Louisville Community
