The Second Grade Team (along with the specialists, paraeducators, and interventionists) are a highly collaborative group of unique professionals who work together to provide the best learning environment for all second graders, not just our own classes. 

We constantly strive to use best practices of educating learners, not just teaching students.  We utilize a variety of teaching techniques and approaches to engage all types of learners, and apply what they learn to a variety of situations.

We value our partnership with parents.  We feel fortunate that Mesa parents are actively involved in their children's education. 

We continue to be learners.  Each of the second grade teachers holds a Masters degree and takes part in valuable professional development each year. 

We appreciate each child's unique abilities.  We work at building upon their strengths and meeting their needs so that all students can become successful learners.
