Parents of students entering Kindergarten in Colorado will need to be sure their student is up-to-date with their required immunizations.

Each Kindergartner must show proof of:

5 Diphtheria/Tetanus/Pertussis doses (1 more than for preschool)

4 Polio doses (1 more than for preschool)

2 Measles/Mumps/Rubella doses (1 more than for preschool)

2 Varicella (Chickenpox) doses (1 more than for preschool)

3 Hepatitis B doses (same as for preschool)

It is the responsibility of the parents to provide an updated record of immunization to the school.

It continues to be a rule, that if a child has had chickenpox disease, a laboratory test showing immunity or a documented disease history from a health care provider is acceptable.

If you do not wish your child to have any of these vaccines for personal or religious reasons, please sign a waiver that is available in the Health Room of your child’s school or at this link.

A medical exemption must be signed by a physician.

For those with no insurance, click here for a list of clinics where these immunizations can be obtained.

Mesa's Kindergarten Enrichment Program

What is the Kindergarten Enrichment Program?
This program complements Mesa's half-day Kindergarten class.  It provides a fun, creative program that includes a supervised lunch and recess period.  Programming is specifically designed for children ages 5-6.

We emphasize four key areas: social skills and positive friendships; creativity; strong problem solving skills; self-confidence and a love of learning.  The program uses a play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum.  We encourage children to build on their natural curiosity, imagination, and thinking abilities.  Children are given opportunities to explore their interests and to try new things.

2013-2014 Schedule Options and Fees:
2 days per week, Tuesday / Thursday $215.00 per month
3 days per week, Monday / Wednesday / Friday $290.00 per month
