Homework
Students should read a fun, interesting book or magazine of choice for at least 20 minutes per night.  The single most effective strategy for advancing in reading is actually reading.
 
Written homework, including Family Message Journal,  is usually assigned on Friday and always due on Wednesdays.

Lunch/Snack
We eat lunch at 12:40!  This gives us a wonderful block of uninterrupted learning time in the morning, but does mean a good and substantial snack is essential.  Please be sure to send with your child a protein and complex carb-centered snack packed separate from his/her lunch.
