​​5/9   Starter:  Kelly made two purchases.  She gave one cashier $20 for a compact disc and received $6 change.  Then she gave another cashier $15 for a bracelet and received $3 change.  After these purchases she had $28.  How many dollars did she have before buying the compact disc and the bracelet?
