Summit Middle School is named as a 2012 Blue Ribbon School! 
 
U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan has recognized 269 schools, including Summit, as 2012 National Blue Ribbon Schools for their overall academic excellence or for making progress in improving student academic achievement levels.

Summit Middle School is named “Middle School of Distinction” by 5280 Magazine! Congratulations staff and students!  Summit is one of 18 public middle schools in the metro area to be recognized based on high growth scores on the state assessment.    

Congratulations to Summit Counselor, Elizabeth Burrows.  She was named as a finalist for the Impact on Education Award.  This program recognizes individuals in the Boulder Valley School District (BVSD) who have an extraordinary impact on student learning through exceptional: teaching skills, job dedication, volunteering, and/or leadership.
