NetZero Club:
The NetZero Club is an environmental club that was founded to reduce the school’s carbon footprint. Students have the opportunity to take on leadership roles by heading up projects—it’s a chance to make a difference and change the world we live in. Past projects and activities include planting trees, filming a documentary, visiting a bio-fuel research lab, learning how to compost, hosting a “Get to school green” initiative, speaking before the Boulder City Council about single-use bags and much more. Last year the students of the NetZero club led the school community in an energy reduction contest and we were awarded a solar panel array for our efforts. We meet during lunch in rm. 22 all year long. Students are welcome to join anytime.

Board Games Club:
Are you a word wiz? Are you ga-ga for games? Then come down to Portable E at lunch on Mondays for Scrabble and Bananagrams! Bring your lunch and feed your brain with wordy goodness!
Summit Chess Club:
Playing chess develops analytical reasoning and decision making skills, providing youth with a game to enjoy for a lifetime. The Summit Chess Club meets on Thursdays afterschool, from 3:15-4:15 for the entire school year. We compete in the BVSD Chess League and typically enter a team in the Colorado State Chess Tournament. In 2011-12 our teams took first place in both! The Chess Club is open to players of all abilities—come to compete, to play for fun or to learn how to play. Drop-ins are always welcome.
Student Council:
Devoted to providing social, service and leadership opportunities for our students. Whether planning Spirit Week, raising money to support earthquake victims, or leading classes in school decision making, Student Council members make a positive difference at Summit. We meet Mondays after school in Room 6 until 4 p.m.
Council of 8's:
Council of 8's is a new club this year whose focus will be to support our community building program BEAST (Bring Everyone at Summit Together) as well as to plan an eighth grade class trip. We meet Wednesdays at lunch in Room 6. All are welcome, drop-ins included!
Ukulele Club: Come play Ukulele with Ms. Hendrick on Fridays in Ravenclaw computer lab. Whether learning or rehearsing you are sure to have a good time! Hawaiian shirts are always welcome.
Yearbook Club:
Yearbook meets Monday's after school throughout the school year to put together the Summit Yearbook, which is distributed to students at the end of the year. Students take photos at school and community events, and then organize them into yearbook pages. They help to create the layout of the yearbook, create collages, and develop the overall theme. It is their time to shine and help make memories of Summit last a lifetime.
