Annual “Coats for Kids” and “Share A Coat” Drive
Sponsored by Coal Creek Rotary Club
Once again, the Coal Creed Rotary Club (serving Lafayette, Louisville and
Superior) is organizing the annual “Coats for Kids” and “Share A Coat” program
for eligible families in the East Boulder County area during the Holiday Season.
Area Rotary Clubs have collected coats for more than 20 years in the Boulder
Valley area, and these programs continue this year.
Collection boxes will be located in the schools by late October. Members of Coal
Creek Rotary will collect the coats regularly through November and early
December. Donated coats will be dry cleaned through the generosity of John’s
Cleaners, sorted and sized, and then distributed through Sister Carmen Community
Center.
The coats will be distributed by Sister Carmen prior to Thanksgiving and again
the week prior to Christmas in concert with the distribution of food baskets and
toys.
We invite you and your students to drop gently-used winter coats (all sizes) in
the collection box at the school. New mittens, gloves, caps and hats are also
gratefully accepted! To assist with collection, please place mittens, gloves,
etc. in a separate bag.
