Chris Hamlyn - First Grade Teacher Years at Ryan: 15 Other related work experiences: I have taught nature and science classes for Thorne Ecological Institute, I also taught at a private art studio, and I taught preschool and Kindergarten at Make a Mess and Make Believe. Experience at what grade levels: Have taught preschool through fourth grade in Boulder and Lafayette. Schools/colleges attended: Grew up in Denver, CO attending Thomas Jefferson High School. Attended Willamette University in Salem, OR. Received a B.A. in English Literature and an Elementary Teaching Credential from the University of Colorado in Boulder. Favorite thing about working at Ryan: Being a part of a kind, creative learning community where people see children as our future and want to provide rich, exciting opportunities for learning and growth. A goal for the year: To continue to learn and share ideas right along with the students in my classroom. An interesting tidbit that you want to share: I have my own five year old who teaches me more about learning, schools and life each day.
