Lindsay Halter

Experience: 2007 is my first year teaching full time and I am very excited! Throughout my schooling most of my experience has been at the Kindergarten level. I have worked in many classrooms and I student taught at Whittier Elementary in Boulder, also in a kindergarten classroom. Last year, from February to June, I was a long-term substitute at Ryan in the very classroom in which I now teach.

Schools: I graduated from the University of Colorado-Boulder with a degree in Communications in 2004. I then went back to earn my teaching certificate. I am currently working on my Master’s degree with an emphasis in literacy at CU-Boulder.

Working at Ryan: I feel very privileged to be teaching at Ryan. It is such a wonderful school with an amazing staff. I am very impressed by the school’s math and science focus and it is thrilling to watch the students get really energized about those subjects.

Goal: My goal is to learn as much from my students as they learn from me. I strive for a fun and creative program that reaches all learners no matter what their level.

Tidbit: I will be getting married this June in Lyons. I can’t wait to come back to school next year as Mrs. Nesbitt!
