FUNDRAISERS:

Boulder Valley School District allocates approximately $5,500 per student per year to cover the basic necessities of each child’s education. This budget does not include many items and activities such as field trips, specialized learning aids and books, and the traditional fifth grade Civil War Reenactment. These activities reinforce classroom learning and give our children a well-rounded learning experience. PTA dedicates itself to fulfilling school needs beyond those provided by the district.

  • Check Writing Campaign

A)      Fundraiser starts with the beginning of school and runs throughout the school year. The initial packet sent home to parents contains the Wish List for the year so that donations can be made to a specific grade or item. Updates on progress are posted in the Ryan Reader.

B)      Donations may be tax deductible according to your own tax situation. Your cancelled check is your receipt or if you would like a written receipt, please contact the PTA Treasurer. Tax ID#: 84-1502205.

C)      Donation forms (Microsoft Word required)can be submitted at any time throughout the school year to either the PTA Treasurer or returned through your child’s teacher.

  • Think-A-Thon

A)      Fundraiser starts September 20th. Students will be sent home with pledge forms asking supporters to pledge a certain amount for every 15 minutes read.

B)     Rewards are in the process of being decided upon and will be announced.

C)   Math worksheets will be available and each sheet turned in represents bonus 15 minutes of reading.

D)   Reading chains will chart progress at the school for students and parents to see. Each grade will have a color of the rainbow representing the science aspect of this fundraiser.

  • Auctions

A)      There will be two auctions, one held the night of Sock Hop and the other on Trivia Night.

B)      Both a silent auction and live auction will be held during these two events.

C)      More detailed information will be announced. The PTA is looking for a coordinator and other volunteers for this fundraiser. If interested, please contact any board member.
