GROCERIES +

Eat your way to a better education for you child!

You Can Take a Bite out of the cost of a good education!

  • What Is Groceries +?

·         Art Stamps

·         Albertson’s Community Partners Card

·         General Mills Box Tops for Education

·         Campbell’s Labels for Education

·         Recycle Printer Cartridges

·         Target - Take Charge

·         Upromise

Here’s a school fundraiser that’s fun and simple. It merely asks your child to be creative, not a door-to-door salesperson. All your child needs to do is creative artwork. The artwork is then turned into official U.S. postage and note cards. Everyone benefits: your child has fun, you get one-of-a-kind official U.S. postage and note cards, and Ryan Elementary PTA gets much-needed funds for education. Get ready to make your mail a masterpiece. These items make excellent gifts for friends and relatives. For every set of 20 ArtStamps ordered, $5.00 returns to Ryan PTA. Overall, nearly 55% of every sale returns to Ryan PTA, and to purchasers (in the form of official U.S. postage).

Help Ryan Fund Your Childs Education Now!

Albertsons Grocery issues checks quarterly to Ryan Elementary PTA with the amount donated based on a percentage of purchases where a Ryan Elementary Community Partners Card was used. Average quarterly checks have been over $400. The card is free, works nationally and is simply presented each time you check out. Just simply have the cashier scan your card when you pay. As of September 2007 Albertson’s will donate 1% on the first $50,000 dollars spent per quarter and 5% on everything over $50,000 per quarter. Thank you for your support! Ryan Rocks! Albertsons Community Partners cards are currently being issued to each family at Ryan Elementary. Look for your families card attached to a letter in your childs family folder.

Each Box Top is worth 10¢ and can be found on your favorite General Mills products. Every single one counts to earn money for our school! Simply clip the Box Tops for Education coupons and drop them in the collection boxes located near the lobby at Ryan Elementary. For a complete list of General Mills Box Tops for Education participating products go to www.boxtops4education.com.

Support our school by becoming a Box Tops for Education Booster Club member and shop on-line through the Box Tops Marketplace. Booster Club members receive email newsletters, can download money-saving grocery store coupons, and keep track of our school earnings. And shopping through the Box Tops Marketplace earns money for our school! The Marketplace does not cost anything to use, but a percentage of each qualifying purchase made through the Marketplace with over 260 of your favorite on-line merchants will be donated back to our school account. To sign up for the Box Tops Booster Club and to learn more about the Box Tops Marketplace go to www.boxtops4education.com.

Watch for information in your child’s Friday folders and on the Ryan Elementary School web site about the Box Top for Education contest coming this school year!

Contact the 2006/2007 Ryan Elementary Box Top coordinator, Jeanne McDonald, at mcdonaj@mac.com with questions about the Box Tops for Education program.

Simply clip and save Campbell’s Soup labels and drop them in the collection box at Ryan Elementary.  Look for the Campbell’s Soup drop box just outside the cafeteria entrance at Ryan Elementary or ask the front office staff at Ryan Elementary to direct you to the nearest collection box

Every year millions of pounds of inkjet, laser, fax and copier cartridges as well as cell phones are tossed into landfills. Ryan Elementary has teamed up with Cartridges For Kids® to help keep these items out of the landfills and generate funds for our school. Bring in your used cell phones and empty inkjet, laser, fax, & copier cartridges to the box in the school foyer. Ask your employer to sponsor us by saving these as well. This is an ongoing fundraiser so save them year-round, as we can earn up to $5 for just one cell phone or cartridge.

If you have further questions please contact Lisa Gomez at 303-665-4019, or by email at lkg813(at)yahoo.com.  You can also find additional info about the company and their program at their website www.cartridgesforkids.com

Target will donate 1% of qualifying Target Guest Card purchases and Target Visa Card purchases made at Target stores. Additionally, Target will donate ½% of Target Visa Card purchases anywhere else Visa is accepted (including Target.com) to Ryan PTA. Specify Ryan Elementary School, Lafayette, CO on new card applications or call 1-800-316-6142 to add it to an existing card. The PTA receives the donations twice a year, and funds accumulate all year long. Target stores nationally are participating. See how Ryan is doing – www.Target.com.

Save for your child's college education for FREE at www.upromise.com .  You can register credit cards so that every time you use them at selected retailers or websites, a percentage goes into your Upromise college savings account.  If you would rather not enter your credit card info online, you can simply register your grocery store savings cards and you can save through those purchases as well.  You receive quarterly statements that show your account balance and activity, and have friends and family sign up to save for your child as well.
