Pure talent, not the right race

Serenade, Apollo, and Le Baiser de la fee were the performances Maria danced in at the Paris Opera.


Maria was not only an amazing dancer but she was the first U.S. citizen to dance in the Paris Opera. At first Maria was treated very poorly and not well at all. Soon her talent took over  the French people.
