 About Me:
My family moved a lot when I was growing up, as a result I’ve lived in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Delaware, Indiana and Illinois! I then carried on this tradition of moving frequently after I got married. My husband and I have lived in South Carolina, Mississippi and now Colorado. It’s exciting to live “out west” after having lived on the east coast, in the Midwest and in the “Deep South”.
Currently, I live in Longmont with my husband, Glenn. He recently finished his Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. We enjoy spending time outside exploring Colorado! Glenn and I also enjoy reading, movies and games.
Glenn and I love to travel.  We actually met in Budapest, Hungary and spent two years living in the former Soviet Union (Belarus and Russia). Being overseas for an extended time gave me an amazing opportunity to learn the language and culture of such a rich and storied place. I was also able to travel to many countries in Eastern Europe and love visiting new places and learning new things.
College and Teaching Background: I attended Butler University, in Indianapolis, Indiana, where I received a B.S. in Elementary Education. After returning from my time in Russia, I taught for three years in a public school near Jackson, Mississippi. I worked with struggling 2nd grade readers as a Title I Reading Teacher and found my work with students there to be both challenging and rewarding. I love to encourage students and to create excitement and fun while learning. I am very excited to have this opportunity to teach at Superior Elementary and work with such amazing staff, students and parents.
