Expectations for BehaviorAt Superior Elementary School people and property are treated with respect so that all may learn. Every student and staff member at Superior Elementary School has the responsibility to be familiar with the school rules and expectations for behavior. The
Discipline Plan will be reviewed each year as a part of introductory and school wide activities. We will therefore depend upon consistent high expectations for all members of our school community.
The Discipline Plan depends upon communication of expectations, personal responsibility for actions, consistent and logical consequences, and importance of building community at our school. All students and staff members will show respect for others regardless of ability, race, ethnic origin, gender or personal life style choices. Under no circumstances will harassment, bullying, or intimidation of others be tolerated. We are very proud of our school building, equipment, and playgrounds. All members of our community will safeguard the resources of the school. We believe that all students have the right to come to school and learn in a safe and positive environment. The Discipline Plan is based upon simple rights and responsibilities that demonstrate a respect for people and property. We also believe that older students have the responsibility to assist younger students, more capable students shall help those who are challenged, and respect shall be shown to any adult, including staff members, parent volunteers or visitors.
