2nd Grade Reward Programs
Superior Elementary offers a whole-school recognition program for individual students of all grades, for good behavior called the Superior Kids Award. In addition, each of the 2nd grade classrooms implements one of the two WHOLE CLASS award systems below: Good Thing String In order to promote WHOLE CLASS good deeds and positive behavior, we have a class “good thing” string (chain). At the beginning of the year, the class votes on a reward they would like to work toward such as an ice cream party, extra recess, a read-in, a movie and popcorn, etc. The goal is to earn colored links until the chain touches the ground. Every time a link is earned it is added to the chain. Once the chain reaches the floor the reward will be provided. Some of the ways to earn links are; walking through the hall quietly, receiving a compliment from another teacher or adult, returning library books or homework on time as a whole class, etc… Compliment Chart In order to promote WHOLE CLASS good deeds and positive behavior, we have a class Compliment Chart. At the beginning of the year, the class votes on a reward they would like to work toward such as an ice cream party, extra recess, a read-in, a movie and popcorn, etc. The goal is to earn 30 compliments. Every time a compliment is given, a tally is added to the chart. Once the chart reaches 30 tallies, the reward will be provided. Some of the ways to earn tallies are; walking through the hall quietly, receiving a compliment from another teacher or adult, returning library books or homework on time as a whole class, etc… Compliment from your teacher = 1 tally 1800 South Indiana Street * Superior Colorado * 80027 (303) 543-9330 * FAX: (303) 543-9611 Questions and Comments for Webmaster: debra_winters@yahoo.com |
