I am originally from Greeley, Colorado. I received my BA in Anthropology from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN in 1998. In college, I set two NCAA Division III soccer records in goalkeeping. After college I was drafted by the Minnesota Thunder Professional Soccer Team and played for them before attending graduate school. I received my Masters of Education from Gannon University in Erie, PA in 2000.

I began my teaching career in Englewood, CO in 2000. After four years of teaching at Clayton Elementary I moved to Superior Elementary in 2004. I have taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grades.

I live in Boulder with my better half Ali, who is completing her doctorate at CU Boulder, and our three furry friends - Koda, a yellow lab mix, Shadow a black lab mix, and Chief the big boned cat. In my free time I enjoy reading, painting, watching Liverpool soccer and climbing 14er’s. I also wrote a children’s book with my father entitled "The Little Leopard”.
