I was born and raised in the upstate area of New York in a small town called Alexandria Bay. As a child I spent my summers exploring the mighty St. Lawrence River and spending time on our family owned island. I received my BS in Industrial Design from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2001. This was a rewarding experience where I had the opportunity to meet and design for such firms as Fisher Price and Reebok.

After visiting Boulder on a cross country road trip that same year, I decided this was the place for me and moved here permanently one month later in October. I immediately started working as an Assistant Director at the Rainbow Child Care Center in Boulder and began work on my Masters in Education through Regis University. Two years later, in May of 2004, I earned my licensure and was selected as the new 5th Grade teacher at Superior Elementary, the greatest school on the planet!

In August of 2006, I will start my third year as a 5th grade teacher at Superior. This summer I also celebrated my second year of marriage to my beautiful wife Hannah. We both are enjoying our first home in Louisville while raising our two cattle dog mixes, Bodhi and Luna. Together, the four of us have had many memorable experiences from exploring the sand dunes to trekking the vast acreage of Yellowstone National. Colorado is truly for those who appreciate the outdoors, and we fall into that category quite easily. We love our home and our lives in great part because of the wonderful friends we have made at Superior Elementary School.
