What a wonderful concert we heard on Thursday, February 7! The kids voices and the handbell choir were amazing to listen to.

There will be no more Songbirds practice for the rest of February. Starting in March, here is the schedule:

4th Graders only: Mondays in March: 3rd, 10th, 17th

5th Graders only: Wednesdays in March: 5th, 12th, 19th.

All Songbirds: March 31, April 2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23, 30.Note: The practice on the 30th will run until 4:00!

Spring Concert: May 1st, 1:30 and 6:30

 

 

This year's Musical: The Aristocats

If you missed your chance to order a DVD of the 5th graders' performance of The Aristocats, contact Mr. Dingman or Mrs. Matsumoto. You may still be able to get a copy!

The Aristocats is a 1970 animated feature produced and released by Walt Disney Productions. The twentieth animated feature in the Disney animated features canon, the story revolves around a family of aristocratic cats, and how an alley cat acquaintance helps prevent a butler from kidnapping them to gain his mistress' fortune. This film is noted for being the last film to be approved by Walt Disney himself; he died in 1966, while the film was still in early production. It was originally released to theaters by Buena Vista Distribution on December 11, 1970. The title is a pun on the word aristocrats.
