I live in Golden and am a native of Denver and a 3rd generation native of Colorado. I am descended from the Volga-Deutsch (German’s from Russia) who settled the northern part of this state. I graduated from Ranum High School and received my degree in Occupational Therapy from Colorado State University.

I started working in the Boulder Valley School District in 1998 when we moved back here after living in Durango, New Mexico and Idaho. My husband, Eric, is in the mining business, so we have lived in the boonies of the West, where the minerals are usually found. I have worked with infants, preschoolers, school age children and teens, and developmentally disabled adults in a variety of settings. I’ve put a lot of miles on my cars driving to remote schools and houses of homebound clients.

We have 2 daughters, Jessica and Laura, who graduated from Golden High School and are both currently attending Colorado State University. I enjoy volunteering (I was a Girl Scout Leader for 16 years), browsing through antique shops, spending time with family and friends, and trying to create a garden.
