| The Whittier Council is a group of parents, community
members and teachers who serve several functions in the guidance of our
school. They are the school improvement team which monitors the gathering
of data and also our progress toward achievement of school goals.
They also serve as the site based management team which deals with issues
of policy and goverance at Whittier.
Members of the council serve for two years and may succeed themselves
if re-elected.
Meetings are held once a month at 3:00 in the afternoon.
