Students learned about Native American cave art called petroglyphs and pictographs. Students then created their own „cave art‰ using symbols from this time period. We then carved our ideas on our printing plates and made several prints!

Color Theory Exotic Bird Paintings
The students and I discussed color theory and thedifferent ways in which color conveys emotion. Students then did an abstract painting, using many color combinations. They then created their exotic birds by cutting up their painting and pasting the pieces!

Students read the book "The Z was Zapped" by Chris Van Allsburg. We then drew and shaded three dimensional letters based on the drawings in his book. Students then had to design a background to enhance their 3-D letter and sentence in colored pencil.
